Favorite Albums of 2010
« on: March 09, 2010, 04:28:41 PM »
I know it's fairly early in the year but we can post our favorite new albums of 2010 as they come out or talk about them before they do.

Anyway, I'll post some obvious ones of mine:

Romance is Boring - Los Campesinos!

Animal - Ke$ha (don't hate)

Life Is Sweet! Nice to Meet You - Lightspeed Champion

Then of course was Joanna Newsom's new one which was great and can't wait for I'm From Barcelona's new one (think it's already out though), MGMT's new one and I have a feeling AiH might have a new one this year.

Yay, me and Mush actually like something together! I love Animal by KeSha. =3

I'm looking forward to Amy Grant's release, and Born Again by Newsboys. Some hard rock (for Christian. ;p) and some great pop in the same album.

Starfield also released an album, and when I have some money I'm going to get it, preview sounds good.

Animal and Dancing with Tears In My Eyes are my favorites. Take It Off is good as well.

  And Dinosaur makes me lol.

I hate Dinosaur and Stephen but the others are good... My copy is actually sort of broke and my Dancing with Tears in My Eyes doesn't work but I have heard it and it is good. Love is my drug is my favorite.

 Drug is pretty good.

I hate Stephen and Boots&Boys. Can't stand either of them. I'm not that fond of Blah Blah Blah either.

Wrong thread I know, but I'm loving The E.N.D. my the Peas. I bought it in 2010, so does that count? ;p

I've only gotten to listen to two 2010 albums so far this year.

They're both pretty good. DT and Kalmah still have it after being around for 20+ years in the music industry. Still two of the best metal bands around.

Just got MGMT's new album Congratulations yesterday:

Loads of people are complaining that it's not like their first one but I love it! I mean it's not as danceable as their first one but this one actually flows like a real album and has it's own specific charm.

Also got She & Him's second album Volume Two:

I like it. If you liked Volume One it's just like that. A nice mellow sweet album.

The first single and preview song of Amy Grant's new album, "Better Than A Hallelujah", is amazing.

Downloaded the new Apples in Stereo album yesterday, pretty good. Stays true to Apples.
